Circulation Procedure and Policy
The AISM Library exists to meet the academic and personal information needs of the school community. Traditional and electronic resources support intellectual freedom and encourage independent inquiry and creativity. The library supports the AISM mission and complements the International Baccalaureate curriculum.
The primary and secondary school libraries are fully automated with a combined collection of nearly 30,000. AISM students and community members are invited to borrow books from the general collection for a two-week period. Students are able to renew materials in person or electronically through the Destiny System. Lost material is assessed at the current replacement value of the lost item.
Community member is defined as students, parents of current students, staff and alumni. Exceptions can be made by the librarian or school director under special circumstances.
DVDs, available in the secondary school library, may be borrowed on weekends or overnight. DVD circulation does not include protected titles used in classroom instruction.
